The baseball world has lost one of its iconic (yet controversial) figures, Jeremy Giambi. He passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, aged 47.
His agent, Joel Wolfe, confirmed the news in a press statement, saying Gambi passed away at his parents’ home in Southern California.
Gambi was a former American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman who played in Major League Baseball for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Red Sox, from 1998 to 2003.
Despite his successful career, he had issues with the law after he was arrested on drug charges. He was later released.

Naia Giambi is a fan of horses and was into raising horses. And after her husband retired, she involved him in taking care of their horses.
In a 2012 interview, Naia disclosed that she has been raising horses for years and that rodeo and her husband enjoyed horse races.
“I’ve been raising horses for a long time and I’ve been always focused on the nutritional as the most important for the basis for any horse,” she told a veterinary company that took care of her horses, “…whether it’s gonna be a racehorse or rodeo horse show…I’ve done all of it.”
“It’s my preference for a long was a rodeo and now with my husband obviously want to be in the race part of it. That’s all rent too, but it’s the same thing for all horses.”
She added: “They all have to start just like a child, you know. With what was put into them when they were young.”
